Zaahedah is a young qualitative researcher with a keen interest in education and improving education quality and outcomes in South Africa and Africa more broadly. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the College of Human Sciences, UNISA and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management (specialisation in M&E) from the Wits School of Governance. She is currently completing a Masters in Management with specialisation in development and economics at the Wits School of Governance and her research focuses on innovative financing in education.

Through previous and current work experience she has developed a range of technical and professional skills in the education research sector such as project management, instrument development, data collection and management, analysis, report writing, budgeting and client and funder liaison. She is also often involved in Theory of Change development as well as developing M&E frameworks.
